How do you feel about the nature of the human race? Are people genuinely good at heart?
vitaverus005 asked:
People are selfish creatures by nature, and so many bad things are done in the world. Still, in the midst of all that there are people doing good. Do you think that in the end people are just doing things for selfish reasons, for example to make themselves feel better about themselves, or that everyone has good intentions no matter what they do? How can you tell if people have good souls or not?

You don’t. In order to know weather or not a person is genuine you must first get to know them. No if you mean people in a entierty. I believe that the human race has a natural behavior to look out for number one. However it is the different things that happens in a certains persons life that defines weather or not they break this mold of selfishness.

You can tell by reading auras… any other way is superficial and inaccurate.
People are good souls with a lifetime of negative cr*p playing in loop in their brain. It’s their choice to hold on to them, so they are accountable for their actions. The more cr*p they identify with, the more cr*p they do to others.

You define human nature as being good if people are not selfish but more altruistic. Human nature is very complex and is what it is. Some may consider cannibalism, war, cheating, and lying good. There really is no good or bad. Some people function at the level of morality where they believe everything the government–an artificial creation of man–does and condones is just and right. People and even Christians condone Bush’s aggression and occupation of middle eastern countries, based on pretty dubious claims. Tens of thousands have died on both sides.
I think if we look at human behavior, especially in America, we would find that more people are bad at heart, as you defined good and bad behavior. I personally believe unnecessary violence and death of humans is a bad thing. This is a widespread belief too, but people need to stop having sympathy just for the vague “good” people. Like Jesus, we need to have universal sympathy for people we side with and for our supposed enemies. The media confers Bush and his cronies like Rice as “devoutly religious” but they are operating totally the opposite.

I don’t like using the words good or bad. We are selfish by nature, but don’t waste time lamenting over it.

I feel we humans are the worst kind, but somehow our ignorance lets us believe that we are not that bad. We are capable of anything. Of course there are those few angel tht walk among us. Buddhism have influence much of my believe of the human kind althought im no buddhist, im just as spoil and rotten as the majority out there(at least i know), thats where spirituality comes in, self-improvement, self-awareness, we are being deprive from good beacuse of our attachment to greed and humanly possession.
I hope you understand what i written, coz i just wrote and wrote lol.

Individuals are good. People are self destructive deaf mute creatures that will destroy for selfish reasons without regret. In other words, individually we all are strong but united we conflict, destroy. Everything that comes out of a groups hands will ultimately fail.
People try to play God, individuals are God’s of their reality. We all individually want our own kind of peace. But the unknown scares us, so together we conflict.
So, as individuals we are all the same but as a group we are defined by the group, resulting in conflict with the individual. Alone we are like everyone else, together we lose our identity. Everyone is individually good, people united will kill. After all, we all suffer from existence just in different ways.
